Standards-based learning is an approach to teaching and assessment that focuses on clearly defined learning goals and what students know and are able to do. Rather than emphasizing points or averages, this framework measures student progress based on mastery of essential standards. Standards-based learning provides clear, meaningful feedback that helps students understand their learning, reflect on their progress, and grow over time. Our school uses this framework to promote equity, clarity, and high expectations for all learners while supporting deeper understanding and lifelong learning.

Standards-Based Learning Support
Our Standards-Based Learning support team is available to:

  • Answer questions and provide clarification for students and families

  • Support educators and schools training in or transitioning to standards-based learning

  • Share best practices and implementation strategies from our expert teachers
